Construction Technology is a program of study that prepares you for entry-level employment in maintenance or construction related field. Courses include electricity, carpentry, plumbing, and welding.

The Diesel Technology Program provides you with the necessary entry-level skills and theory to enter either the medium/heavy duty truck or construction equipment service/repair fields.

Electromechanical Technology prepares you for careers in manufacturing companies as multi-craft, industrial facility, machinery maintenance and repair technicians. The curriculum integrates electrical and mechanical courses of study.

The HVAC program provides you with the knowledge and technical skills you need to find an entry-level position as an HVAC technician. In classrooms and labs, you will learn how to size and cut pipes, set controls, clean and maintain HVAC systems and parts, demonstrate safety practices, and use computer technology to enhance your potential for employment.

Solar Energy Technology

The Solar Energy Technology programs train you for a career as a solar photovoltaic installer where you will learn to install, assemble, set up, and maintain rooftop or other solar energy systems that convert sunlight into energy.

The Welding Technology Program allows you to develop skills to meet certain certification test standards for both structural and pipe welding. You will also be prepared to assume positions that require an understanding of fabrication and layout.

Bladesmithing

The bladesmithing program celebrates, preserves, and promotes the art of bladesmithing and historic trades, and the birth of the iconic Bowie Knife in Historic Washington, Arkansas. You will study the art and science of bladesmithing, forging, handles and guards, Damascus steel, and more.

General Technology

The Associate of Applied Science in General Technology enables you to design an individualized program of study to fulfill a unique career goal that cannot be met through the completion of any single technology program. This is accomplished by selecting courses from two or more different technical disciplines and developing a coherent technical program having both a major technical focus and support courses directly related to the career objective.

The ArkTA Truck Driver Training program is the fastest and most economical choice to move you into a new and exciting commercial truck driving career. In a matter of weeks, you can have a commercial drivers license (CDL) and the skills needed to be employed and earning competitive wages in the field of transportation.

Fiber Optic Technician

The Fiber Optic Technician program, in partnership with the Arkansas Fiber Academy , provides students with an opportunity to embark on a meaningful and rewarding career in the fiber broadband industry. Classroom and hands-on field experiences equip students with the knowledge, skills, and abilities employers look for when hiring fiber optic technicians to install, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber broadband to homes and businesses. Upon completion of the program, graduates will be eligible for the Fiber Broadband Association OpTIC Path 3-year certification.

Forklift Certification (OSHA Compliant)

UAHT holds forklift certifications classes at various times throughout the year. The Department of Labor requires any forklift operator to hold an OSHA forklift certification. Certification can increase workplace safety and productivity and lower costs. After successfully completing the course, a forklift operator card and certificate will be awarded to attendees.
