Fall Enrollment Increases for Third Straight Year

The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana welcomed 1,307 students this semester. This number represents an increase in fall-to-fall enrollment for three straight years and the college’s largest fall enrollment since 2019.

“We are excited about the positive trajectory of enrollment at UAHT,” said Chancellor Dr. Christine Holt. “With enrollment rising for the third consecutive year, it’s clear that more people are recognizing the value of accessible, flexible, and affordable education at UAHT as a gateway to opportunity and growth. We strive to keep tuition and fees affordable, and with the addition of many scholarships and the Hempstead Guarantee, along with Arkansas state scholarships and in-state tuition for border county residents, a college education at UAHT is one of the greatest values in higher education. Our innovative early college high school programs, technical training programs, health professions programs, and world-class general education transfer degrees provide a bridge to the future for every student.”

UAHT offers over 50 certificates and degrees that prepare students for good jobs or to transfer to a four-year university. Students can earn their Associate of Arts in General Education Degree 100% online or in person. Students can also enroll in technical programs to prepare them for high-paying jobs quickly. UAHT's in-demand technical programs include Fiber Optic Technician, Truck Driver Training, Cybersecurity, Solar Energy Technology, Construction Technology, Electromechanical Technology, and more. UAHT also offers high-demand health professions programs such as Nursing, EMT & Paramedic, Surgical Scrub Technician, and Funeral Services.
