Digital Discovery Day Hosted at UA Texarkana

UAHT hosted “Digital Discovery Day” on February 2, 2024 at the Texarkana Campus. The University of Arkansas at Little Rock Emerging Analytics Center provided interactive, hands-on learning activities for students to explore cybersecurity, virtual reality, and computer programming career fields. Over 70 students from Dequeen and Hope public schools attended to learn about the EAC center and cybersecurity programs.
Students also learned about the UAHT partnership in the CyberLearn Arkansas Network and how the cybersecurity classes they take at UAHT transfer directly to UALR to complete a bachelor's degree.
The computer and information science field is a fast-growing field with a variety of high-paying jobs. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the job outlook for information security analysts is expected to grow by 32%. The average median pay for information security analysts is $53.86 per hour.
